My studio was purpose built in January 2006 replacing an existing garage. It is a detached building joined to the main house via a tiled covered walkway.

It measures 8m x 4m and is divided in two to form a control room and live recording area.

The heart of the studio is my Apple G5 dual 2GB computer with 23" and 17" Apple flat panel displays. I run the current versions of Logic, Cubase and Reason together with numerous plug-ins, effects, software synths and loop/audio editors.

Recording is delivered through a Soundcraft 8•24 channel mixer via an M Audio Delta 1010 rack mounted digital interface connected to M Audio EX66 active studio monitors.

Outboard gear includes industry standard Roland XV3080 and XV5080 synths fully expanded with orchestral, piano, studio, world and techno expansion cards.

I have Beringher B1's with shock mounts, Shure SM58's and Rode NT5 microphones.

Other outboard gear includes Zoom advanced instruments effects processors, Zoom digital reverbs and multi effects and Drawmer Spectral Compressor.

Although the studio was primarily built for my own recording use I have started to offer full recording facilities to local musicians.
